STRIDER (NZAus) Trial Participant information
The majority of women presenting with such severe and early-onset fetal growth restriction will be referred to a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) subspecialist or specialist obstetrician. These doctors will review each case on an individual basis to try and determine why a baby may be so much smaller than expected for it’s gestational age. If it appears most likely to relate to utero-placental insufficiency the STRIDER NZAus trial will be discussed and offered to women at participating hospitals. The example patient information sheet and consent form provided is from the National Women’s Health, Auckland City Hospital recruiting site and provides an example of the information that will be discussed. Each participating hospital has a similar document that can be requested from each Site Lead Investigator.
